Dr. Erdal Erkoç is an ENT specialist with 13 years of surgical experience, and his practice is dedicated exclusively to nose and facial surgery. He is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). Alongside primary rhinoplasty, he regularly handles more demanding cases such as revision surgery and septal perforation repair.

One only. Dr. Erdal Erkoç devotes the entire day to a single patient, so the design session, the surgery and the follow-up all receive the same attention. For this reason our calendar can fill up early; if you have a date in mind, we recommend planning ahead.

Yes. We can arrange a consultation either in person at our clinic or as a video call over WhatsApp. The online consultation is free of charge and carries no obligation.

We do not carry out remote result simulations. Photos are valuable for the surgeon’s preliminary assessment, but designing a nose requires facial proportions, bone and cartilage structure and skin thickness to be evaluated together, and that happens during the examination.

Only two things: photos of your nose taken from different angles in good lighting, and a short health summary (your age, previous surgeries, chronic conditions and any known drug allergies). If you also describe what you expect from the surgery, we review it all with Dr. Erdal Erkoç and share his opinion with you.

It is not an obstacle to surgery, but it can affect the surgical plan. Please tell us when the filler was applied and to which area during the preliminary assessment.

In general it is preferred once facial growth is complete. There is no upper age limit; what matters is your general health and your suitability for anaesthesia.

As early as possible. Because only one surgery is performed per day, the calendar can fill up months ahead. If you have a period in mind, we will check the available days and get back to you.

Because the scope of the procedure differs from person to person. A primary operation and a revision or one requiring additional work do not take the same time or preparation. We give you the exact price after the examination or the online consultation.

The operation itself and the operating theatre fee, anaesthesia preparations and consultation, routine blood tests before surgery, one night in hospital together with your companion, and two years of follow-up care.

Blood and imaging tests outside our routine procedures, consultations with specialties other than anaesthesia, hotel accommodation, transfers and flight expenses.

We take a prepayment to reserve your date, which is deducted from your total fee. The remaining balance is paid when you arrive at the clinic. Once confirmed, we send you every detail, including payment methods, in writing by email.

You may change your appointment date once, within 6 months. In case of cancellation, please note in advance that the prepayment is not refundable.

Our surgeries take place at the JCI-accredited Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital. Address: Acıbadem Mahallesi, Şehit Emin Çölen Sokağı No:4, Kadıköy, Istanbul. Being very close to our clinic makes travel between your design and follow-up appointments easy.

One day before surgery you have your design session at the clinic and your anaesthesia preparations at the hospital. On the day of surgery you are admitted, stay one night under observation afterwards, and are discharged the following day.

When bone reshaping is needed, piezo surgery is used. Piezo shapes the bone in a controlled way with sound waves and minimises damage to the surrounding soft tissue, which helps swelling and bruising settle more quickly.

The duration depends on the procedure; revision surgeries take longer than primary ones. Because only one surgery is performed per day, the timing is never adjusted around a next patient. Your companion is kept informed throughout.

Yes. If a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates are affecting your breathing, this is assessed during the examination and corrected in the same operation where needed.

Yes, under general anaesthesia. Our anaesthesiologist assesses you separately before surgery and answers your questions; this consultation is included in our fee.

Yes. Your one-night hospital stay is planned together with your companion. Especially if you are travelling from another city or country, we recommend having someone with you.

Yes: we give you a clear list covering blood-thinning medication and supplements, smoking and alcohol, and how long to fast. Our nurse walks you through the preparation step by step.

Rhinoplasty is not as painful as patients expect. In the first days there is a feeling of fullness and mild congestion in the nose, which eases as the swelling goes down. Your pain medication is planned regularly in hospital and after discharge, so your recovery period stays comfortable.

Classic gauze packing is not used. We use silicone splints with an opening in the middle, so you can breathe even in the first days. They are removed at your day-seven check-up in a few seconds, far more easily than most patients expect.

Visible swelling and bruising usually subside largely within the first week. This varies with skin type and the procedure performed; in the early days cold compresses and resting with your head elevated help a great deal.

Most patients can return around 14 days after surgery. If your work is physically demanding, Dr. Erdal Erkoç approves the timing based on how your recovery is progressing.

Heavy exercise, intense sun, sauna and glasses that rest on the nose all require a waiting period. At your check-ups we give you a personal timeline for each of them.

Your check-ups on day three and day seven take place at our clinic. Once you are home, follow-up continues remotely: you send us photographs at agreed intervals so Dr. Erdal Erkoç can follow your progress. Your follow-up continues for two years and is included in the fee.

You can reach our nurse over WhatsApp, including outside working hours. She knows your file and answers in your own language. In case of bleeding that does not stop, fever, steadily increasing pain or marked difficulty breathing, write to us without delay.

Your appearance improves rapidly from the first weeks, but the nose continues to refine and settle for a long time. That is why we ask you to be patient and to keep your check-up appointments before judging the final result.

The surgery is planned both aesthetically and functionally. If a structural issue is affecting your breathing, it is assessed during the examination and you are told what can be done about it.

Incisions are planned inside the nose or underneath it, where they do not draw attention. Once healing is complete, scars normally settle to a level that is not noticeable.

In nasal surgery the result can only be judged once the healing process is complete. Dr. Erdal Erkoç does not charge a surgeon’s fee for revision to patients he has operated on himself. Whether the correction is functional or aesthetic does not change this. In such a case, only the hospital, operating theatre and anaesthesia costs, together with travel and accommodation, are the patient’s responsibility.

We recommend planning a total of 8 nights: arriving one day before surgery and flying back after your day-seven check-up. In revision cases, if additional treatment is needed, this may extend to 10-12 days. We plan your dates together with your flights. If you can, fly into Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), which is much closer to our clinic and the hospital than Istanbul Airport (IST).

We work with a hotel very close to our clinic. Our optional package covers accommodation with breakfast and airport transfers. If you prefer, you are free to arrange your own stay.
